We at Breakthrough are proud of our record in identifying and disseminating Positive Practice nationally over the past fifteen years, and look forward to continuing to work with colleagues across the country to take this exciting initiative forward nationally after it's initial development period in the north-west.

We are particularly excited to have gained the support of Jim Easton at the Department of Health, and Dean Royles, Director of NHS Employers in taking this work forward, together with the continued support of Mike Farrar C.B.E., Chief Executive of The NHS Confederation.

It couldn’t be easier to submit  your service/initiative, or alternatively one that you are aware of for inclusion on this positive practice site, the first of its’ kind in England.  In addition, please feel free to nominate any individuals working in mental health who you feel are really 'Making A Difference' to those around them.

Your views matter !!  Let us share your work with others !!

Relationships between people and the groups in which they live and work are central to a healthy life. Positive Practice recognises the centrality of these relationships to promote, restore and maintain health and wellbeing.

This includes positive partnerships in health and social care and beyond, across organisations and sectors.

As such, this Positive Practice website recognises and disseminates the high quality work of services at an individual, team, organisation or community level that has a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing.
